This fall, hang up your dancing shoes, put on your running shoes, and join The Cara Program for Celebration 2010!

Help us raise funds to support the mission of The Cara Program and celebrate the success of more than 2,600 Chicagoans who have transitioned from homelessness and poverty to permanent, quality employment with the help of our intensive services.

How you can help:

From September 9 – October 9, 2010, in honor of our students working hard to reunite families, break out of poverty, and secure and sustain quality employment, we will be hosting the following:

  • Fund Drive: from September 9 – October 9, we will be sharing stories of celebration with all of our constituents.  We aim to raise $30,000 through this fund drive in support of our motivated students.
  • Run/Walk: Saturday, October 2nd.  Scroll down for more information and click here to join our team!  Help us raise $15,000 this year!
  • Sponsorships: Sponsor our team tent, t-shirts or our fundraising drive!  We have opportunities to market your company or showcase your family’s support for The Cara Program to 8,000+ Cara supporters.

Golf Classic 2010

Thank you to all who participated in The Cara Program's 6th Annual Golf Classic! We are excited to share with you that through the event, our supporters - generous sponsors, golfers, advertisers, raffle ticket purchasers, live auction participants, and event donors - helped our fundraiser to gross $100,000 to support our motivated students tranform their lives and achieve real, lasting success.

All monies raised will help The Cara Program to train individuals affected by homelessness and poverty across the Chicago area, then place them into quality employment and provide them with the support that they need to maintain their employment and ultimately break out of the cycle of poverty! Thank you, again, to all those who helped make this possible!

Save the Date! The Cara Program's 7th Annual Golf Classic will be held at Cantigny Golf in Wheaton on June 14, 2011!

Motivations

07/29/2010

Hey, (insert your name here), motivate me!

Come visit our house at 237 S. Desplaines in Chicago, IL.  This inspiring training facility celebrates both our students' dedication to transforming their lives and our founder's vision to help lift entire families out of poverty, for good.

The best way to experience this mission at work is to participate in our morning tradition called 'Motivations'.  'Motivations' takes place each Monday through Thursday morning, and is best summed up as part storytelling and part song - where in a half hour's time, individuals of all walks of life share moments of strength and perseverence, and have a ton of fun in the process.

If you're interested in joining us for 'motivations' or scheduling a site visit, please contact Lucie-Ann Chen at 312-798-3349.
