The Cara Program is thrilled to share that Eric Weinheimer, President & CEO, has been recognized for excellence in leadership by two prominent Chicago institutions: the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and The Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Eric has been named the 2011 University of Chicago Booth School of Business Distinguished Alumnus - Public Service. This award is offered annually to one alumnus per category.  Eric was selected from countless nominations and was evaluated by judges around the world. Past recipients in the Public Service category include Kateryna Yushchenko, First Lady of Ukraine; Andrew Alper, former President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation; and Jack Markell, Governor of Delaware, among others.  

This is a tremendous honor for Eric and a profound recognition of his innovative leadership, which has brought transformational change to thousands of motivated Chicagoans affected by homelessness and poverty.
