Company News - Cara Rises to Resurrection Health Care’s Standards

Unite two entities dedicated to helping people and you get one powerful combination. That is the case with The Cara Program and Resurrection Health Care (RHC).

RHC, a Cara employment partner, is Chicago's largest Catholic health care system including hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, a surgery center, behavioral health services, a home health company, hospice services and outpatient medical office facilities. The company is dedicated to providing accessible, affordable health care with dignity, respect and compassion. RHC strives to make it easy, convenient and comfortable for every individual to seek the health care they need.
Those core values make it the perfect workplace for Cara students.

Alleen Loiseau, recruitment coordinator at Our Lady of the Resurrection, is a strong advocate for The Cara Program. Learning about The Cara Program at one of its annual job fairs, she consistently has been pleased with the caliber of applicants sent to RHC from the organization.

“I always can trust that a candidate sent from The Cara Program will be pre-screened and will be thoroughly prepared for an interview with one of our managers,” she said. “I have never been disappointed.”

Cara students now work at six of the nine facilities run by RHC. They fill a variety of jobs including housekeeping, transport, food service, patient registrar, nursing assistance and office/reception work. Because of the size and scope of RHC, Cara workers have opportunities for growth in their careers.

James Hill, executive vice president of Administrative Services for RHC praised the business partnership between RHC and The Cara Program.

“Every once in a while you encounter a business partner that you closely identify with in terms of mission and ideals and we consider The Cara Program to be just such a partner,” he noted.

“We are honored to be associated with this very noble group who is doing a superb job of preparing people for the 21st century workforce.”
