Hire

Cara students are motivated, trained and ready to work. And, like Cara graduates who have paved the way before them, they continue to thrive on the job.

If you are a hiring professional in search of qualified, motivated job applicants for your entry-level positions, look no further.

Our job at The Cara Program is to make hiring easy for you. We customize screening and recruitment processes based on your specific needs, we give you one point of contact to streamline communication, and we prepare our candidates for your culture and expectations.

Refer

The Cara Program is eager to work with individuals who would benefit from our services. The process for referring someone to The Cara Program is very simple.

Admissions Process

(For our Traditional Program)

The Cara Program is eager to work with individuals who would benefit from our services. The process for referring someone to The Cara Program is very simple:

  1. Assess if the individual you serve fits our admission criteria:

    • Homeless and/or at-risk

    • Drug-free

    • Mentally stable

    • Able to work (i.e. have access to stable child care, possess all appropriate identification for employment)

Volunteer

All in, Cara volunteers provide about 50 hours of service to our program each week! Every day, they embody our founder's vision for this program - to be a true friend to those in need.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization – they give our students unique perspectives on the real world of interviewing and help expose our students to a variety of professionals with whom they are apt to encounter in the workplace. They are trainers, coaches, seamstresses, fundraisers, event planners, runners, programmers and administrative aides. Most importantly, they help our staff build its capacity in serving our mission; and we are grateful for their gifts of time every day.

Donate

For every dollar invested into The Cara Program, $5.02 is generated out over five years, in contributions to society and public costs saved.

Consider a Financial Gift

The Cara Program relies on the generosity of concerned individuals to continue empowering individuals affected by homelessness and poverty to achieve real and lasting success. We would greatly appreciate any consideration you can give in support of our mission. To donate online with a credit card, please click "Donate Now" below.
